B5 Shelf

First and foremost, B5 is executed in a simple and stylish manner using solid materials. However, as a modular system, it can easily be expanded to accommodate a growing collection of books, LP records, or similar items. Børge Mogensen designed the shelf when he was still a student at the Academy of Fine Arts Furniture School, and B5 thus represents the beginning of the era that FDB Møbler has been an integral part of.

Børge Mogensen (1914–1972) was the founding Creative Manager of FDB Møbler in 1942 and one of Denmark's most influential furniture designers. A student of Kaare Klint, he championed simple, functional, and durable wooden furniture—making beautiful design accessible to everyday families.
