Common questions
Which brands make this outdoor furniture?
The main ranges come from Cane-line (made in its own facilities in Indonesia), FDB Møbler, Fermob (its own factories in France), Resol and Isimar (their own factories in Spain), Ethnicraft, Heller (mostly made in the USA), Case and Tikamoon. Heymat adds outdoor mats, and several other brands add smaller pieces.
Which outdoor brands hold environmental certifications?
Fermob has an ISO 14001-certified factory, and Resol's own factory in Spain holds ISO 14001 and ISO 14006. Cane-line states ISO 14001 for its production and uses SVLK-verified teak. FDB Møbler holds FSC chain-of-custody certification (FSC-C164841).
Is any of this outdoor furniture made from recycled material?
Some of it. Isimar uses 100% recycled steel and aluminum. Resol states recycled polypropylene for its Toledo Aire and Brisa ranges and Bini tables, and Heller uses 25–100% recycled plastic in some lines.
Will this furniture withstand winter and harsh weather?
It depends on the material and the brand's own guidance. Resol describes its furniture as made for heavy outdoor use, not permanent exposure. Fermob, Isimar and Garbar are tested to EN 581, and Fermob and Resol sell spare parts.
How does Comosum rate these brands for sustainability?
Every brand here is scored on the Comosum Sustainability Meter in six categories: Material, Transportation, Manufacturing, Labor, Energy and Durability. Each is rated 1 to 5 from published evidence, and the grade is the average out of 5, set at brand level. Cane-line, the largest range here, is graded 3.3.
