Kähler

Kähler, founded in 1839 in Næstved, Denmark, is one of the oldest continuously operating ceramic houses in Europe — a workshop where Herman J. Kähler first set up his pottery wheels nearly two centuries ago.

Across that history, Kähler has collaborated with artists including Svend Hammershøi, Karen Blixen, and contemporary Danish designers to produce pieces that range from the iconic Omaggio striped vases to the Hammershøi grinders and tableware. Many sit in the permanent collections of Danish design museums and continue to be specified for the country's finest dining rooms.

The sustainability story: Kähler is part of Rosendahl Design Group, a Certified B Corporation. The brand's approach centers on longevity-first design — pieces engineered to be used, repaired where appropriate, and passed between generations rather than cycled through trends.
