The Hammershøi furrows leave porcelain for glass here — machine-pressed, in clear and olive green.

Kähler extended Hans-Christian Bauer's 2015 series into drinkware in 2022, pressing the signature grooves into glass instead of throwing them in clay. The range covers tumblers through red wine, sold in sets, and is dishwasher safe up to 131°F. Parent company Rosendahl Design Group is a Certified B Corp.

Are these glasses mouth-blown?
No. Kähler produces the Hammershøi glasses machine-pressed, which is what lets the grooves repeat identically across a set and keeps the pieces matched on the table.

Can they go in the dishwasher?
Yes, up to 131°F. Choosing a lower-temperature cycle protects the clarity of the glass and the crispness of the pressed furrows over years of use.

Do they coordinate with Hammershøi porcelain?
Yes. The grooved profile is the same one on the plates, bowls, and cups, so the glassware finishes a Hammershøi table rather than competing with it.

Founded in Næstved, Denmark in 1839, Kähler is one of Scandinavia's oldest ceramic houses. Six generations of ceramicists have shaped its archive — from Hans-Christian Kähler's original earthenware to today's Hammershøi, Omaggio and Urbania collections. Each piece is hand-finished, with collaborations spanning Hans-Christian Bauer, Anette Krogstad and Stilleben. Part of Rosendahl Design Group, a Certified B Corp; ceramics use FSC-certified packaging and meet OEKO-TEX standards.

Most Holmegaard and Rosendahl glassware is mouth-blown — small bubbles or seams are part of the craft, not defects. Store upright with space between pieces; do not stack. Dishwasher-safe items are noted on the inner gift box.
