Hammershøi Unfold Vase
Ten years of Hammershøi marked by folding the form — a soft collar that lets stems lean outward.
Hans-Christian Bauer drew the Unfold vase for the tenth anniversary of his Hammershøi series at Kähler, taking his cue from one of Svend Hammershøi's classic vases of the 1930s. The chalky white ceramic is folded so flowers fall to the sides and reach upward instead of standing straight. Two heights. Parent company Rosendahl Design Group is a Certified B Corp.

Common Questions
What size bouquet fits each vase?
The 8.1 in vase takes large bouquets; the 6.5 in suits smaller arrangements and shorter garden stems. The folded rim spreads the stems in both sizes.
How is Unfold different from the classic Hammershøi vase?
Softer. It keeps the series' grooved language but replaces the straight cylinder with a folded, inviting shape that supports flowers rather than holding them upright.
Why does it make flowers lean?
The folded collar is wider than the neck below it, so stems splay outward at the rim and then rise — which is closer to how flowers sit in nature.
