Basket Dining Chair

Søren Rose Studio designed the Basket chair for Cane-line: an outdoor dining chair with a shell-shaped back, hand-woven in Cane-line Weave over a hot-dip galvanized steel frame.

The shell back curves around the shoulders like an armchair. Cane-line Weave is the dyed polyethylene fiber Cane-line developed as an outdoor alternative to rattan: water- and UV-resistant and tolerant of big temperature swings. Each chair is woven by hand, so the tone varies slightly from piece to piece. It is sold without cushions; Cane-line's Basket chair cushion sets are available separately. Common Questions

Can the Basket chair stay outside all year?
Yes. Cane-line Weave is a water- and UV-resistant polyethylene fiber. Cane-line still advises storing it indoors or sheltered in winter, or under a cover lifted clear of the chair so air can circulate.

Are cushions included?
No. The chair is sold on its own, with its woven seat and shell-shaped back. Cane-line's Basket chair cushion sets are sold separately if you want a softer seat, as shown in some of the photos.

Will it fit my dining table?
Seat height is 17.8 in, a standard dining height, and each chair is 24.5 in wide. Cane-line lists the armrest at 29.6 in, so check your table height if you want the chairs to tuck in.
