Greenington, founded in 2004 and headquartered in Washington state, is the bamboo furniture brand that took a material most of the industry treated as a flooring veneer and built an entire solid-wood-grade catalog around it.

The company's collections — from the Currant dining tables to the Azara bedroom range and the Sienna storage line — are produced from solid Moso bamboo, a giant grass that regrows to harvestable height in three to five years and is roughly 20% harder than red oak. Greenington's process uses the entire bamboo culm and converts sawdust into steam energy for kilns, with hand-harvesting that preserves native bamboo ecosystems and root systems.
