Arne Jacobsen Lk Table Clock White H 4.7in Dia 4.3in

The original: Arabic numerals and doubled hands, exhibited at Charlottenborg in the spring of 1939.

Jacobsen drew the LK table clock while working on a house for the director of Lauritz Knudsen, and its bent steel legs come straight out of the Bauhaus industrial aesthetic he was working in. Every later table clock in the range uses this body. A third hand sets the alarm, an invisible sensor on top triggers the backlight, and snooze does the rest. Common Questions

How do I set the alarm?
With the third hand. Move it to the hour you want and the clock sounds there; snooze buys extra minutes, and a sensor on top triggers the backlight so you can read the dial in the dark.

What makes the LK the original?
It is the 1939 design that every other Jacobsen table clock is built on — Arabic numerals, doubled hands, and the bent steel legs he showed at the Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition that year.

Is the lens glass?
No. The table clocks use a PMMA acrylic lens rather than the mineral glass used on the wall clocks — lighter, and less fragile on a bedside table.

Arne Jacobsen Clocks +

Arne Jacobsen (1902–1971) is one of the most influential figures in 20th-century Scandinavian modernism. His clock designs — Bankers, Station, City Hall and Roman — were originally drawn for Denmark's National Bank, Aarhus City Hall and Rødovre Town Hall in the 1930s–70s and remain in continuous production. Each piece is built around an aluminum case with mineral-glass lens. Produced under license by Rosendahl Design Group, a Certified B Corp.

Care Guide +

Wipe Arne Jacobsen clocks with a dry, lint-free cloth — never use water, glass cleaner or solvents on the aluminum case or mineral-glass lens. Replace the AA battery (table clocks) or C-cell (large wall clocks) once a year to prevent leakage. Hang wall clocks on a single secure screw and avoid mounting in direct sunlight, bathrooms or near heat sources, which can affect movement accuracy.
