Arne Jacobsen Station Table Clock

Arne Jacobsen Station Table Clock
Five colorways of the 1939 alarm clock, wearing the dial Jacobsen drew in 1941 for Lauritz Knudsen.
The Station face was meant to be readable in any building, which is exactly the quality you want at 6am. The body is Jacobsen's 1939 table clock on bent steel legs — Bauhaus industrial, shown at Charlottenborg that spring — with alarm, snooze, and a sensor that lights the dial in the dark. Common Questions
Why the Station dial on a bedside clock?
Because Jacobsen drew it for legibility. The 1941 face was intended as a universal dial for any building, so it reads instantly at 4.3 in and at a glance in low light.
How does the backlight work?
An invisible sensor on top of the case triggers it, so the dial lights without a switch. The third hand sets the alarm; snooze handles the rest.
Are the colorways just the case or the dial too?
Both. Each option pairs a case color with a dial color — Bordeaux/White and Teal/White change the face, not only the housing.
