Cast like a column of cooling lava — a single stem of hexagonal light in Brass or Stainless Steel.

Designed to mimic the natural processes that inspired it, Basalt tells the story of its making through the exposed sand-cast and lost-wax-cast finishes on its vertical hexagonal panels — polished horizontal ends and an exposed Tala logo mark where the molten metal entered the form. Tala is a London lighting company and a certified B Corporation, scoring 89.7 on its first B Impact assessment — every design is engineered in-house around long-life, low-energy LEDs. Is the bulb included?
Yes — it ships as a complete set with the Tala LED bulb the fixture was designed around, threading into a standard E26 socket so future replacements are easy.

Is it hardwired?
Yes — it installs to a ceiling junction box like any hardwired pendant, and the cord length can be adjusted at the canopy during installation to suit your ceiling height.

Why does the light look so warm?
Tala LEDs run at CRI 95+ with warm color temperatures — many with Dim to Warm, which drifts toward candlelight as you dim — so skin tones and materials read the way they do at golden hour.

We recommend cleaning with a soft dry cloth. Do not use abrasive materials as these will damage the finish of the product. Do not use alcohol or other solvents.

Turn off power and let the bulb cool before cleaning or replacing it; handle the bulb with gloves and avoid over-tightening it into the socket.
