Asger Lounge Chair - Oiled Oak, Black Leather Seat

Asger Soelberg's lounge version of his Asger chair for Bent Hansen is wider and lower, with an oiled oak frame and a seat in black Zenso 2 leather.

The Asger Lounge keeps the dining chair's curved back and short armrests but widens the frame to 27.6 inches and drops the seat to 16.5 inches, so it settles you back rather than up to a table. It comes from Bent Hansen, the Aalborg upholsterer founded in 1948, with a natural oiled oak frame and a seat in Zenso 2, a semi-aniline leather dyed through and protected against dirt.

Care Guide +

Keep leather out of direct sun and away from heat and sharp objects; vacuum or dust it with a soft brush. Clean only when needed with a lather of mild soap flakes, never soak the leather, and polish dry with a soft cotton cloth. Wipe with a dry cloth, or a soft cloth wrung out in lukewarm water, along the grain, then dry at once. When the wood looks dry, sand lightly (180–240 grit) and apply a thin coat of furniture oil; wipe off the excess after about 2 hours. Never use pure linseed oil.
