The Boomerang Desk by Ethnicraft , designed by Jacques Deneef, brings a softer, more organic language to the modern workspace. Inspired by shapes found in nature, its distinctive pebble-shaped top sits on curved legs with a stacked wood-stick effect, creating a sculptural presence that still feels calm and grounded. Crafted from solid wood and made in Europe, the Boomerang Desk works beautifully as a statement home office piece while remaining functional and refined for everyday use. Featuring PFAS-free, it reflects Ethnicraft's commitment to sustainable design.

Built with longevity in mind, the desk is available in varnished solid oak sourced from France or varnished solid mahogany sourced from Indonesia, certified under the SVLK wood legality system. Finished with a durable, low-emission polyurethane varnish, it is PFAS-free and compliant with key international standards including REACH SVHC and Prop 65. Like all Ethnicraft furniture, the Boomerang Desk reflects a commitment to responsible material sourcing, rigorous safety and durability testing, and design meant to be used daily and kept for decades—an honest approach to sustainable furniture that prioritizes quality over trend. Available at Comosum.

Ethnicraft is a renowned furniture brand that has been delivering quality, design, and sustainability for over 25 years. Established in Antwerp by two friends, Benoit Loos and Philippe Delaisse, Ethnicraft has expanded from importing Indonesian furniture to producing its own unique collections.

Sustainability is at the heart of Ethnicraft's ethos, guiding every step of its manufacturing process. The brand uses responsibly sourced wood, ensuring it comes from FSC-certified and SLVK-compliant forests, promoting the use of renewable materials. The focus on a circular approach is evident through initiatives like Live Light and Re-Loved, which refurbish and extend the lifespan of Ethnicraft products, reducing waste and offering furniture a second life.

Ethnicraft also actively reduces its carbon footprint. The Serbian manufacturing site uses wood residue for energy, while the Belgian headquarters are powered by solar energy, demonstrating a commitment to green energy and lower emissions. Waste reduction is integral to the brand, with leftover wood and sawdust being reused or repurposed to minimize environmental impact.

Through these sustainable practices, Ethnicraft creates high-quality furniture and accessories that blend form and function, with timeless designs that age beautifully. This commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship makes Ethnicraft a brand that not only enhances your home but also respects the planet

For regular dusting, use a dry cloth. For cleaning or in case of a spill, use a damp cloth and natural soap. Wipe in the direction of the grain. Do not use soap containing detergent or other chemicals. Dry with a soft clean cloth to prevent spotting.

We always recommend protecting surfaces with coasters, mousepads or placemats, as extreme and repetitive daily use or heat can damage the finish.
