Paul Newman founded Case in 2005. Matthew Hilton and Terence Woodgate, both Royal Designers for Industry, have designed for it since the first collection, and it reissues Robin Day's 1964 Forum sofa with the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation.

Cross Side Table
An offset base and chamfered edges give Matthew Hilton's side table a footprint small enough for anywhere.
Part of Hilton's award-winning Cross collection for Case, the Cross Side Table is built from solid oak or walnut with the base set off-center, so it tucks close to a sofa or armchair. A clear polyurethane lacquer shows the grain and keeps maintenance minimal. It arrives fully assembled, made in Lithuania.

No. It arrives fully assembled in solid wood, ready to place beside a sofa, armchair, or bed.
How do I care for the wood?
Wipe with furniture polish or warm water and mild detergent — never abrasive cleaners or solvents — and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight to prevent uneven darkening.
Is it solid wood or veneer?
The top and base are solid oak or walnut with chamfered edge details, finished in a clear polyurethane lacquer that needs no polishing.
