Sonja Djønne and Thoralf Lian started Heymat in 2016 to make a doormat that works in Norway's wet weather and looks like it belongs in the home. Each mat is designed with leading designers and uses recycled PET.

Juniper needles, sharp and everywhere in Norwegian forests, become the geometry running across this entry mat.
Caroline Olsson drew the Eine pattern from that shrub and let color carry the season: Noon filters greens and blues through a long summer evening, Dawn works in bare beige and white that sits well against natural wood, and Nightfall runs gold lines over black. Heymat weaves the pile in Belgium from 100% recycled PET over a nitrile rubber backing with 20% recycled content. The rest of the range is at Heymat.

Machine wash it at 140°F (60°C) with bleach-free detergent, then tumble or lay flat to dry. Every size fits a standard home machine, and Heymat recommends washing two to four times a year.
Can Eine be used over underfloor heating?
Yes. Heymat states its mats withstand underfloor heating. Because the rubber backing is dense, check the floor underneath periodically at first — some floor finishes are sensitive to being covered.
