Paul Newman founded Case in 2005. Matthew Hilton and Terence Woodgate, both Royal Designers for Industry, have designed for it since the first collection, and it reissues Robin Day's 1964 Forum sofa with the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation.

Quad-Space Counter Stool
Terence Woodgate and engineer John Barnard machined this counter stool like an instrument — PTFE bearing, stainless frame, 8.3 pounds.
At its core is a Teflon (PTFE) and stainless steel bearing that lets the leather-upholstered seat rotate with almost no friction and no maintenance. Robust but light, it arrives assembled and slides up to a kitchen counter straight out of the box — precision engineering from the Case Furniture range.

Does the counter height fit my kitchen island?
The 26.2-inch seat suits standard 36-inch counters, leaving the usual 10–12 inches of legroom. For 41–43-inch bar-height surfaces, choose the Quad-Space Bar Stool instead.
Does the seat really rotate?
Yes — on a Teflon (PTFE) and stainless steel bearing engineered for smooth, low-friction rotation with minimal maintenance and high durability. There is no mechanism to adjust or lubricate.
Is assembly required?
No. The stool ships fully assembled, and at 8.3 pounds it is easy to reposition around a kitchen or carry between rooms.
