FDB Møbler began in 1942, when Børge Mogensen set out to make furniture that was both beautiful and affordable. It still makes his designs alongside new ones, and every piece is tested at the Danish Technological Institute.

A full wall of books calls for the tall unit — 63 inches of Mogensen’s “building furniture,” the largest in the series.
The A154 carries the most shelf area of the system Børge Mogensen began in the early 1950s and refined for the rest of his career at FDB Møbler, where he led the design studio from its founding in 1942. It is solid oak, nature lacquered and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified, with each shelf tested to 44 lbs, and it must be anchored to the wall.

Does the A154 have to be wall-anchored?
Yes — at 63 inches tall it must be secured to the wall to prevent tipping. Plan placement against a wall that can take an anchor before ordering.
Can I combine it with the shorter units?
Yes — the A152, A153, and A154 share the same width and depth, so they line up side by side, and the A150 shelf fits all three.
