A232 Sideboard

For decades the 1964 original was a coveted vintage find; now Børge Mogensen’s sideboard is back in production, brass fittings and all.

The A232 first appeared in the FDB Møbler catalog in 1964 and returns with an FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)-certified oak veneer finish, nature lacquered, and custom-crafted brass components. Trays and drawers in different sizes are sold separately, so the interior can be configured around what you actually store.

Materials

FSC-certified oak veneer, nature lacquered; custom-crafted brass components

Dimensions

48 in W x 17.5 in D x 37 in H; 132.3 lbs

Designer

Børge Mogensen, 1964

Common Questions

Are the drawers and trays included?
No — the A232 drawers (small and large) and trays are sold separately, so you can outfit the interior to suit your storage rather than a fixed configuration.

How much space does the A232 need?
The cabinet is 48 inches wide, 17.5 inches deep, and 37 inches high, and it weighs 132.3 lbs — plan a firm, level spot and a second pair of hands for moving it.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
