B100 Shelves

At 9.4 inches high, the smallest Sorø shelf slips under windowsills and onto desktops without giving up solid oak.

Laura Bilde designed the B100 series for FDB Møbler around simple, immediate construction in nature oiled solid oak. This is the smallest of the four sizes — 19.7 inches wide by 9.4 high — sized for a single low run of books or as one module in a larger grouped system, with the shelf tested to 44 lbs.

Common Questions

What is this size best for?
A short run of books, a shelf for small objects, or a building block — the 19.7 by 9.4 inch unit combines with larger Sorø sizes into flexible shelving systems.

Is the oak solid or veneer?
Solid oak throughout, finished with natural oil. Grain and tone vary slightly from piece to piece, as they do in any solid wood furniture.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
