I4 Birksø Mirror

A turned, cigar-shaped oak wedge — borrowed from FDB's most familiar chair parts — is what holds this mirror to the wall.

Designer Rebecca Uth created the Birksø for FDB Møbler, letting a detail from FDB Møbler's classic furniture carry a new object entirely. The nature lacquered oak frame hangs from a stretch-resistant webbing strap woven in a herringbone pattern, so the mounting is part of the design rather than hidden behind it. At Ø 19.7 inches, this is the smallest of the three sizes — right for an entryway, a bathroom, or the wall between windows.

Common Questions

How does the Birksø mount to the wall?
It hangs from its stretch-resistant webbing strap, woven in a herringbone pattern, over a single sturdy screw or hook — the strap stays visible and is part of the mirror's design. This size weighs 7.7 lbs.

Which Birksø size is right for my space?
The Ø 19.7 in round shown here suits entryways and bathrooms; the Ø 27.6 in round holds a larger wall, and the 19.7 x 43.3 in oblong works as a hallway or dressing mirror.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
