J149 3-Person couch - Brown

Erik Ole Jørgensen trained as an upholsterer before he designed furniture — and this 1978 spoke-back sofa shows it.

The J149 three-person couch pairs a nature-lacquered solid oak spoke-back frame with loose cushions in Main Line Flax Brown (15), part of the seating series Jørgensen drew for FDB Møbler. The open frame keeps a 74-inch sofa visually light; the warm brown cushions set its character.

Materials

Solid oak, nature lacquered; loose cushions upholstered in Main Line Flax Brown (15)

74.6 in W x 28.1 in D x 31.5 in H; 72.1 lbs

Common Questions

Does the J149 seat three adults comfortably?
Yes. At 74.6 inches wide and 28.1 inches deep it is a true three-seater, and the full-length seat leaves room to stretch out for a nap.

Can I change the sofa's look later?
Yes. The character comes from loose cushions resting on an exposed oak frame, so recovering or swapping cushions refreshes the sofa without replacing the frame.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
