J157 Anker Chair

Stine Weigelt forms the Anker's back legs and backrest from a single piece of steam-bent solid oak.

Her J157 spoke-back chair for FDB Møbler stands on three legs with a tall back made for draping clothes and a flat seat that doubles as a small table — a valet chair for the entry or bedroom. This nature-lacquered version keeps the oak grain visible, so no two chairs are exactly alike.

Common Questions

Where does the Anker work best?
In an entryway or bedroom. The 38.6-inch back holds tomorrow's clothes, the seat acts as a small table or perch, and its 17.7-inch width slips into corners a full chair could not.

Will the wood look identical to the photos?
Close, but not identical — the nature-lacquered solid oak shows natural grain variation, so each chair carries its own pattern.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
