J178 Lønstrup Chair - Oak Veneer
The windblown coast at Lønstrup taught Stine Weigelt what to leave out of this chair.
Her J178 Lønstrup for FDB Møbler pares a dining chair to its essentials: a nature-lacquered oak frame with a smooth oak veneer seat. Named for the artists' stretch of Jutland's west coast, it stands alone or gathers in groups around a table.

Common Questions
Veneer seat or paper cord — what's the difference?
This version's oak veneer seat is smooth, wipeable wood; the paper cord alternative adds woven texture and a touch of give. Both share the same Nordic Swan Ecolabel oak frame.
Is the Lønstrup a dining chair or an accent chair?
Both — at 18.1 inches wide it works in sets around a dining table, while its pared-back silhouette lets a single chair stand alone in a hallway or bedroom.
