L35 Gesja Wing chair - Beige

A chair designed to embrace you rather than simply seat you — seclusion and immersion were the brief for its Danish designers.

Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen — Johannes Foersom and Peter Hiort-Lorenzen, whose work sits in MoMA's collection — shaped the L35 Gesja for FDB Møbler as a contemporary take on the classic wing chair. Warm Monza Beige 00 upholstery covers the full body, carried on solid FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)-certified oak from the Danish studio founded in 1942.

Common Questions

Who designed the Gesja wing chair?
Johannes Foersom and Peter Hiort-Lorenzen, design partners since the late 1970s; their furniture is held in museum collections including MoMA in New York and Designmuseum Danmark.

Will it work in a smaller room?
Yes — at 26.8 in wide and 32.3 in deep it is compact for a wing chair, and the tall 43.5 in back defines a reading corner without a large footprint.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
