MK46 Sofa
Black leather over an honest oak frame — a 1947 manor-house commission returned to production for a master's anniversary.
Mogens Koch drew the MK46 sofa for Gammel Kjøgegaard, the manor south of Copenhagen; FDB Møbler and Mogens Koch Design revived it for his 125th anniversary. Here it wears black Spoor Zea leather on a clearly separated, nature-lacquered oak frame — Koch's signature construction principle.

Common Questions
How does leather change the MK46?
Black leather sharpens the sofa's architectural character and develops a patina over years of use, where the wool version reads softer and more textile-driven.
Who was Mogens Koch?
Mogens Koch (1898–1992) was a Danish architect and furniture designer, a student of Kaare Klint, best known for his 1928 modular bookcase system and 1932 folding chair.
