Forum Sofa
Sixty years after Robin Day drew it, the Forum Sofa returns in an authentic reissue his foundation helped shape.
Day's 1964 design made structure the point — an exposed hardwood frame with finger-joint detailing and chrome-plated legs mounted outside the upholstery. Case Furniture rebuilt it with the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation from original drawings, in solid oak or walnut over a steel sub-frame, keeping the exact seat angle and full-width timber plank casing.

Common Questions
What sizes does the Forum Sofa come in?
Two: a 2-seat at 60.0 inches wide and a 3-seat at 83.3 inches wide. Both share the same 32.3-inch depth, 27.2-inch height, and 17.9-inch seat height as the original.
How faithful is the reissue to the 1964 design?
Very — Case worked with the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation from original drawings and examples, preserving the seat angle, proportions, and exposed finger-jointed frame. Solid oak or walnut and a steel sub-frame replace the era's tropical hardwood veneers.
Which upholstery options are offered?
Leather in black or dark brown, or bouclé in chalk, moss, or slate, over Dacron-wrapped foam cushions. Frames come in oak or walnut, exclusive to Case.
