Francis Mirror

Constance Guisset painted watercolors of pigment dissolving in water, then had them printed into a mirror.

Francis began in 2011 with two observations: pigment swirling off a brush, and the corroded backs of old mirrors. The compositions are printed into the glass and held in a pressed-steel body with matte grained powder coating, hung on a cellulose fabric cord. Made in France for Petite Friture, a certified B Corp.

Which size fits where?
Small at 17.7 in reads as an accent above a console. Large at 26.6 in suits a vanity or entry. Extra Large is 43.3 in across and 50.7 lb, so check your wall structure and fixings first.

Is the color printed or tinted glass?
Printed. Guisset's hand-painted watercolors were digitally refined and printed into the mirror surface, then sealed, which is why the pattern reads with depth rather than sitting on top.

How is it hung?
By the cellulose fabric cord attached to the powder-coated steel back. Use a hook and fixing rated for the size you choose, particularly at Large and Extra Large.
