Heller works with Massimo and Lella Vignelli, Mario Bellini, Sergio Asti and Frank Gehry. Its pieces sit in the permanent collections of MoMA, the Centre Pompidou and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and they're still made to be used every day, indoors and out.

Gehry Sofa
A partial back means you can face the pool, the fire, or the conversation — Frank Gehry's 2004 sofa doesn't pick sides.
Rotationally molded in the USA as one hollow polyethylene piece with stress-free corners, it stands up to weather, UV, and heavy commercial use with no cushions and no assembly. Heller recommends filling the base with dry play sand through the plug underneath on exposed sites. It completes the Heller Gehry collection with the Easy Chair and Coffee Table.

Does it require assembly?
No. The sofa arrives as a single rotationally molded piece — set it in place and it is ready to use, indoors or out.
Should I anchor it outdoors?
On exposed patios or rooftops, yes. Remove the plug on the underside and fill the hollow base with dry play sand; at 86 pounds empty, it gains substantial extra stability.
