Gelato Lounge Chair (Set of 2)

Gelato's lounge chair, by Benedetta Tagliabue and Joana Bover, sits low and wide on a steel frame, with slats you can order in one color, two, or a mix named after a gelato flavor.

The seat is 15.6 inches high and the chair is 25.6 inches across, so it reads as a lounge chair rather than a dining seat. Seat and arm heights match the Gelato Bench, which makes a pair of these and a bench a complete terrace. The slats are recycled polypropylene reinforced with fiberglass, rated for indoor and outdoor use. Made in Spain by Resol. Sold as a set of two in one colorway — Resol packs them two to a box.

How long does delivery take?
Gelato ships in 8–12 weeks. It comes from Resol in Spain rather than our US warehouse, which is why it takes longer than our in-stock outdoor pieces. The lead time is the same for every colorway.

Does it match the Gelato Bench?
Yes. Both have a 15.6 in seat and 22.4 in arms, and the colorways are the same, so a bench and a pair of lounge chairs in one colorway line up as a set.

Why is it sold in pairs?
Resol packs the Gelato Lounge Chair two to a box, one colorway per box, so we sell it the same way. The price covers both chairs, and the per-chair price is shown beside it.

Resol designs and makes indoor–outdoor furniture in Spain, and all of its production is in-house at its facilities in Les Preses (La Garrotxa, Girona). Most pieces are injected polypropylene, often reinforced with fiberglass and always UV protected, alongside rotomoulded MDPE, aluminum, steel and HPL. Resol works with designers including Josep Lluscà, Joan Gaspar, Pensi Design Studio, Benedetta Tagliabue and Joana Bover. Its furniture is built for heavy but not permanent outdoor use, so Resol advises storing it under cover when it will sit unused for long periods.

On materials, we repeat only what Resol states for each collection. Toledo Aire is 100% post-consumer recycled polypropylene. Brisa's backrests and armrests are 100% post-consumer recycled polypropylene in every color, and its black (Noche) base is 100% post-industrial recycled material. Baobab's black (Noche) base is 100% post-industrial recycled material, Bini tables contain at least 30% post-consumer recycled material in every color, and Gelato's slats are recycled polypropylene. Post-industrial here means material reclaimed from Resol's own production. Resol has told us its recycled Green Edition colorways are discontinued, and its other collections don't state recycled content, so we don't claim it for them. Polypropylene is recyclable, Resol's management system is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 14006 (ecodesign), and the company has committed that by 2027 all of its injected products will contain at least 30% recycled material.
