Yes — the fabric-covered cord carries a dimmer switch, so you can take the opal glass shade from reading light down to a faint glow without changing bulbs or adding a smart plug.

How is it different from the Ghost Floor Lamp?
Scale and socket. The table version measures 6.3 in across and 15 in tall with an E12 socket; the floor version grows to 9.8 by 22.8 in and takes a standard E26 base. Both dim from the cord.
