Knabstrup
Danish ceramics since 1897, reissued from the archive
Knabstrup began making clay flowerpots in Denmark in 1897, and by 1911 it was Scandinavia's largest flowerpot producer. The brand relaunched in 2017 with reissues of its archive designs, including its late-1940s vase, and its vases and pots are now made in Portugal.

Knabstrup Ripple Flowerpot - Rose
Knabstrup's ripple flowerpot borrows the ribbed profile of the brand's late-1940s vase, in glazed earthenware with fine vertical grooves.
Knabstrup drew this pot from its own vase, so the ribs match the ripple vases and the two sit well together on a shelf or sill. It comes in 2 sizes in rose. Its Danish name, urtepotteskjuler, means a cover pot: the decorative outer pot you slip a plant into, still in its plastic nursery pot, so you can water and drain it at the sink. That also makes it easy to swap plants with the seasons.

Common Questions
Does it have a drainage hole?
Knabstrup doesn't say, and its Danish name for this pot means a cover pot, the kind you slip a nursery pot into. Use it that way, with the plant in its own pot inside, and empty any standing water after watering.
Can it go outside?
Knabstrup gives no outdoor or frost rating, so keep it indoors. Glazed ceramics can crack if water trapped in them freezes, so an indoor windowsill or shelf is the safer home for it.
Can I return it?
No. The Knabstrup ripple flowerpot is final sale and can't be returned or exchanged, so please check the sizes first. Report any breakage in transit within 48 hours of delivery.
