Knabstrup

Danish ceramics since 1897, reissued from the archive

Knabstrup began making clay flowerpots in Denmark in 1897, and by 1911 it was Scandinavia's largest flowerpot producer. The brand relaunched in 2017 with reissues of its archive designs, including its late-1940s vase, and its vases and pots are now made in Portugal.

Knabstrup Tavola Bowls (Set of 4) - White

Tavola was Knabstrup's everyday stoneware line, and this set of four white bowls runs from a 7-ounce dip bowl to a 4-liter serving bowl.

Four sizes in one box means one set covers most of a meal: a small bowl for salt or sauce, two for sides and salad, and a big one for pasta or bread dough. Knabstrup made Tavola in dense, glazed stoneware so it could go from the freezer to the oven to the dishwasher, and the bowls nest inside one another for storage. The white glaze sits quietly next to other tableware. The line is discontinued, so this is the last of it from the distributor.

Common Questions

Is it dishwasher and microwave safe?
Yes. Knabstrup says Tavola is stoneware made to handle the freezer, the oven, the microwave and the dishwasher, so it suits daily use without special care.

Is Tavola still made?
No. Knabstrup has discontinued the Tavola line, so these are remaining sets from Normode, its North American distributor. We can't source more once they're gone, so buy any extras now.

Can I return it?
No. The Tavola bowl set is final sale and can't be returned or exchanged, so please check the sizes first. Report any breakage in transit within 48 hours of delivery.
