Knabstrup
Danish ceramics since 1897, reissued from the archive
Knabstrup began making clay flowerpots in Denmark in 1897, and by 1911 it was Scandinavia's largest flowerpot producer. The brand relaunched in 2017 with reissues of its archive designs, including its late-1940s vase, and its vases and pots are now made in Portugal.

Knabstrup Vase - Verdigris Green
Knabstrup Keramik's classic vase dates from the end of the 1940s, when the Danish pottery founded in 1897 had become Scandinavia's largest flowerpot maker.
Knabstrup relaunched the vase in 2017, and this is the plain version: a soft, shouldered body in glazed earthenware with a verdigris green glaze. The proportions hold across 3 heights, so a row of sizes reads as one family rather than a collection of odds. Knabstrup designed the vase to show off seasonal bouquets and branches; the tallest takes long stems, the smallest a single bloom on a windowsill.

Common Questions
Is it dishwasher safe?
No. Knabstrup lists these glazed earthenware vases as not dishwasher safe. Wash them by hand in hot water with a little mild dish soap, and dry them before putting them away.
Can I use it for fresh flowers?
Knabstrup designed it for seasonal bouquets and branches, but it doesn't state that the earthenware is watertight. On wood or other sensitive surfaces, use a glass liner or a coaster until you know how it behaves.
Can I return it?
No. The Knabstrup vase is final sale and can't be returned or exchanged, so please check the sizes first. Report any breakage in transit within 48 hours of delivery.
