Tala was founded in 2015 by three Edinburgh University friends. Its London team designs and engineers its LED lighting in-house, in aluminium and brass rather than plastic, and builds it to be durable and repairable.

Lochan Wall Light
A machined wall mount that presents its bulb like a specimen — light as object, not apparatus.
Wet-rated IP44, the Lochan Wall Light has a modest size and understated form, designed to put the light bulb itself on display. Available in Brass or Graphite, sold bare or bundled with an Oval, Voronoi I, Sphere III, or Oval Dim to Warm bulb. Common Questions
Is the bulb included?
Depends on the option — the bare fixture ships without a bulb, with a standard E26 socket so you can pair it with any Tala sculptural LED; the Oval, Voronoi I, Sphere III, and Oval Dim to Warm options ship with that bulb already fitted.
How does it install?
It mounts to the wall like a standard sconce; installation to a junction box is straightforward for an electrician and the low-energy LED means minimal load on the circuit.
Why does the light look so warm?
Tala LEDs run at CRI 95+ with warm color temperatures — many with Dim to Warm, which drifts toward candlelight as you dim — so skin tones and materials read the way they do at golden hour.
