Low Stool

Space Copenhagen's Low Stool is the 18.5-inch member of the family Mater calls a New Danish Classic.

It is turned from FSC-certified beech or oak and topped with a hand-stitched leather seat, in the same organic, minimalist profile as the counter and bar heights. Mater upholsters it in Sorensen Leather Nuance on the stained finishes and Camo Leather on soaped oak. At chair height it works as occasional seating, a vanity stool, a footrest or a low display surface, which makes it one of the most useful small pieces in our Mater collection.

Dust with a soft dry cloth; wipe the wood with a damp cloth and mild soap and dry at once; condition the leather occasionally and keep the chair out of prolonged direct sun

What is the Low Stool used for?
Occasional seating, a dressing-table or vanity seat, a footrest, or a small display surface. At 18.5 inches high it matches standard chair seat height, so it slides in wherever an extra perch is needed.

Is it the same design as the Mater High Stool?
Yes. It shares Space Copenhagen's turned solid-wood frame and FSC-certified construction with the High Stool, scaled down from counter and bar heights to a chair-height 18.5 inches.

How should I treat the leather seat?
Wipe it with a soft dry cloth and condition it occasionally. The Sorensen and Camo hides are chosen to take on a patina, so the seat gains character with use rather than looking worn.
