Paul Newman founded Case in 2005. Matthew Hilton and Terence Woodgate, both Royal Designers for Industry, have designed for it since the first collection, and it reissues Robin Day's 1964 Forum sofa with the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation.

Lucent Laptop Table
A cantilevered glass table that slides to the sofa and puts a working surface over your lap.
Matthew Hilton applied the Lucent collection's UV-bonded, right-angle construction to a practical brief: a laptop perch for homes without a desk. The heavy cantilevered base slips toward the seat while the top carries a laptop, book, or coffee at working height, with a discreet inner shelf for a charger or notebook. Made in Lithuania for Case Furniture.

Will it work with my sofa?
With most — the cantilevered base slides under or beside the seat rather than against it, bringing the 23.8-inch-high top over your lap. Very low platform sofas with no clearance are the exception.
Can it hold a full laptop setup?
Yes — tempered glass handles a laptop, coffee, and notebook with ease, and the 37-pound base keeps everything stable while you type.
Where do the cables go?
The carefully positioned panels create an inner shelf for a charger, notebook, or coaster, keeping the working surface itself clear.
