Lucent Tall Mirror

The Lucent Tall Mirror is a slender extension of Matthew Hilton’s Lucent collection — the British designer’s long-running glass series for Case, designed around tempered and smoked glass joined at right angles using UV-bonding technology. Hilton, whose three-decade career includes work held by the V&A Museum and the Museum of the Home alongside collaborations with SCP, De La Espada, and Habitat, designed the Tall Mirror for spaces where a portrait-format reflection is wanted without a heavy traditional frame. The smoked glass panels meet at perpendicular angles with no visible hardware, no seams, and a layered translucency where the planes overlap. An integrated shelf along the lower edge keeps everyday essentials — keys, candles, a small ceramic — within reach. Manufactured in Lithuania at the same family-run glassworks that produces the rest of the Lucent range; each panel hand-finished, each bonded join pressure-tested before assembly.
Available in Bronze or Smoke smoked glass, the Tall Mirror suits dressing rooms, hallways, and bedrooms where a near-full-length reflection is wanted but a heavy frame would crowd the wall. The portrait orientation reads as architectural rather than decorative, while the integrated display shelf turns the mirror into a quietly functional surface — a useful detail in entryways and dressing zones, where a small ledge for keys or a candle earns its place daily. UV-bonded construction is essentially maintenance-free, requiring only an occasional wipe with a soft, dry cloth; the smoked glass tone hides fingerprints better than a clear-mirror finish. Ships fully assembled with mounting hardware suited to most wall types. For tall rooms or narrow walls where a conventional mirror would feel out of scale, Lucent Tall delivers full-height reflection in a frame light enough to disappear when you don’t need it.
