MB1 Lounge Chair
Self-cushioning polymer flexes as you settle in — a trick that won Mario Bellini's lounge chair the Red Dot and iF awards.
The MB group — armchair, sofa, and ottoman table — is roto-molded from a polymer that gives slightly under weight, so the comfort comes from the material itself rather than upholstery. Yes. The self-cushioning polymer flexes slightly under body weight, which is the design's core idea — juries at the Red Dot and iF Design awards recognized it in 2004.
