What does the modular base do?
It lets you swap colors and replace the bulb easily. The shade lifts off the base rather than being fixed to it, which is unusual at this size and price.

Which bulb does it take?
An energy-efficient warm LED comes fitted, at 2200 K and 60 watt equivalent. Replacements must also be LED — incandescent heat will melt the printed shade.

Where does the striped shade come from?
The ribbed glass pendants that hang over counters in traditional American diners. Terra Labs prints the same profile in bio-polymer instead of glass.
