The brand's own eco-rating criteria exclude composite materials store-wide — no MDF, no chipboard — and its pieces are built using traditional woodworking joinery rather than external hardware, a construction discipline aimed at long-term repairability.

Tikamoon became a certified B Corporation in December 2025, scoring 90.9 out of 100 against B Lab's median of 50.9 for ordinary businesses, with specific recognition for reducing poverty across its supply chain. It has held FSC Chain of Custody certification (FSC-C143349) since 2018, though by its own account this certification does not yet extend to its full range — coverage varies by collection. Since 2019, Tikamoon has also run carbon footprint assessments and per-product life-cycle analyses aligned to the EU Product Environmental Footprint standard, independently verified by FCBA, Mines ParisTech, and Tsinghua University.
