Neotenic Lamp
A fat ceramic body, a glass globe balanced on top — proportions borrowed from cartoons rather than from lighting catalogues.
Neotenic is New York studio Jumbo's 2024 lamp for Petite Friture, named for the biological term describing adult forms that keep juvenile features. Glazed ceramic carries a blown glass diffuser in four colorways. The Small takes a dimmable G9 bulb; the Large uses an integrated touch-dimmable LED.

Common Questions
Do I need to buy a bulb?
Only for the Small, which takes a dimmable G9 bulb that is not supplied and delivers about 500 lumens at 2700K. The Large has an integrated LED, so nothing to buy.
How do I dim it?
The Large dims by touch, stepping from full output down to 10 percent with no wall dimmer required. The Small dims through a compatible G9 bulb and dimmer.
Is the light warm?
Yes. Both sizes run at 2700K, the warm end of white light, and both put out roughly 500 lumens — accent and mood lighting rather than a primary room source.
