Ocean Chair

Cast from recovered ocean waste plastic, this reissue returns Jørgen and Nanna Ditzel's 1955 garden seat to daily outdoor duty.

The Ditzels drew the Ocean Collection's light, slatted frames in 1955; Mater, the Danish B Corp, now casts the slats from ocean waste plastic and recycled polypropylene on a partly recycled steel frame. Made and tested for outdoor use, the chair is designed for disassembly so every component can be recycled again. It stacks for easy off-season storage on patios, balconies, and terrace cafés.
