Ocean Chair

The Ocean Chair is a reissue of a 1955 design by Jørgen & Nanna Ditzel, brought back using modern sustainable materials. Each chair is made from recycled fishing nets and hard plastic, transforming 960g of ocean waste into durable seating with a minimal, airy profile.

Built for indoor–outdoor use, it features a slatted seat and a gunmetal-coated metal frame that is lightweight, stackable, and easy to maintain. Available in black or sand, it blends timeless Scandinavian design with contemporary sustainability.

Designed for disassembly, every component can be recycled again at the end of life, a true example of circular design. Part of Mater’s award-winning Ocean Collection, recognized internationally for eco-conscious innovation.
