Ocean 2 Person Dining Table
Description
The Ocean Table, part of the Ocean Collection, is a re-envisioned series originally designed in 1955 by the renowned Nanna Ditzel. It combines historical design elegance with innovative solutions to prevent pollution of the world's oceans, showcasing Mater Design's commitment to combining aesthetic beauty with environmental responsibility.
Eco-Friendly Materials: This table is crafted using ocean waste plastic and recycled plastic (PP), directly addressing environmental concerns. Each Ocean Table is made using 1.2 kg or 2.8 kg of ocean plastic waste, contributing significantly to reducing the ecological footprint and supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically focusing on “Life Below Water” (SDG 14), “Responsible Consumption and Production” (SDG 12), and “Partnership for the Goals” (SDG 17).
Design and Durability: The Ocean Table is characterized by its light structure with repeated slats and a metal frame, made and tested for outdoor use. This ensures durability and resilience, suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings.
Finishes: Available in elegant finishes of black, green, and sand, the Ocean Table offers versatility in design, allowing it to seamlessly integrate into various decor styles and personal preferences.
Designed for Disassembly: True to Mater Design's philosophy, the Ocean Table is designed for disassembly, allowing for recycling of each component into new production circles. This approach not only ensures sustainability but also endorses the principles of a circular economy.
An Eco-Conscious Choice: The Ocean Table is more than just a piece of furniture; it is a statement of commitment to sustainability and design excellence. Its use of upcycled materials and low environmental impact makes it a pivotal choice for those dedicated to ecological responsibility.
