Original 1227 Brass Wall Light
In 2014 Anglepoise gave George Carwardine's 1935 Original 1227 brass details and heritage colors; this is its wall light.
A brass shade cap, bridle and fittings sit against gloss-painted steel, so the shade reads warmer than the standard 1227. A painted steel arm holds it 12 inches from the wall, the shade rotates to aim the light, and a discreet switch is built into the back plate. Ink Blue is the newest color. It pairs with the Original Brass 1227 Pendant in our Anglepoise collection.

Common Questions
Is it hardwired or plug-in?
Hardwired. The US version mounts over a junction box with the color-matched kit in the box and is wired in, not plugged in. Use the discreet switch on the back plate, or have it wired to a wall switch.
Does it come with a bulb?
No bulb is included. The lamp holder is E26 and Anglepoise rates it for one bulb of up to 10 watts LED or 15 watts CFL, so order a bulb alongside the light.
Which parts are brass?
The shade cap, the bridle that holds the shade and the fittings are brass. The shade and wall plate are gloss-painted steel and the arm is painted steel, in Jet Black, Ink Blue or Elephant Grey.
