Original 1227 Brass Wall Mounted Lamp
George Carwardine's Original 1227, made by Anglepoise since 1935, in its 2014 Brass edition and mounted on an articulated cast iron wall bracket.
The Brass collection pairs heritage gloss colors with a brass shade cap, bridle, spacers and fittings, so the classic task lamp reads a little warmer. The aluminum shade and painted aluminum arms reach 34.5 inches from the wall, and the cast iron bracket is color-matched to the lamp. The matching brass pendant is in our Anglepoise collection.

Common Questions
Is it hardwired or plug-in?
Plug-in. A 79-inch cable ends in a standard 2-blade US plug, with an inline switch 11 inches from the lamp. Only the cast iron bracket fixes to the wall; no electrical work is needed.
What comes in the box?
One complete wall-mounted lamp, in two packages: the Original 1227 Brass lamp with an E26 bulb, and its color-matched cast iron wall bracket, which Anglepoise packs separately.
How far does it reach?
Up to 34.5 inches from the wall to the shade and 26.8 inches vertically. The spring-balanced arms hold wherever you set them, and the shade adjusts to aim the light.
