Original 1227 Mini Wall Mounted Lamp

Anglepoise's Original 1227 Mini, two-thirds the size of George Carwardine's 1935 task lamp, here on a cast iron wall bracket so it can fold back against the wall.

Anglepoise launched this wall-mounted Mini in 2015 for spots where a desk lamp will not fit. The steel shade sits on aluminum arms that reach 28.3 inches from the wall, and the bracket is painted to match the lamp. The full-size version is in our Anglepoise collection.

Common Questions

Is it hardwired or plug-in?
Plug-in. A 70.9-inch cable ends in a standard 2-blade US plug, with an inline switch 11 inches from the lamp. Only the cast iron bracket fixes to the wall; no electrical work is needed.

What comes in the box?
One complete wall-mounted lamp, in two packages: the Original 1227 Mini with an E12 bulb, and its color-matched cast iron wall bracket. The table base is included too, so the lamp can also stand on a desk.

Can it fold away?
Yes. The articulated arm swings out up to 28.3 inches from the wall to put light where you need it, and folds back against the wall when it is not in use, which suits narrow bedsides.
