Oscar Drawer Unit

The Oscar drawer unit belongs to Alain van Havre's Oscar office collection for Ethnicraft: black-tinted solid teak on wheels, with one lockable drawer behind a hand-carved front in natural teak.

Ethnicraft built it to bring form and function to the working day. The case is solid teak tinted black, the drawer front is natural solid teak carved by hand, and both are sealed with varnish. Below the drawer sits an open compartment. It rolls under a desk for extra storage, or stands alone beside one. It pairs with the Oscar Desk and is made in Indonesia for Ethnicraft.

Common Questions

Will it fit under my desk?
Ethnicraft designed it to slide under a desk. It stands 24 inches high, 19.5 inches wide and 22 inches deep, so check that the clear space under your desktop is more than 24 inches. The Oscar Desk is 30 inches high.

Does the drawer lock?
Yes. The single drawer locks with a key set into its hand-carved teak front, and the unit rolls on wheels, so it can sit under a desk or move out beside it as a standalone piece.

How do I care for the varnished teak?
Dust with a dry cloth and wipe spills with a damp cloth and natural soap, along the grain, then dry with a soft cloth. Avoid detergents and chemical cleaners, which can damage the varnish.
