Benoit Loos and Philippe Delaisse founded Ethnicraft in Antwerp more than 30 years ago. It makes solid oak and teak furniture in its own factories, and its Re-Loved programme refurbishes pieces for a second life.

PI Dining Table
A π-shaped base does the heavy lifting, leaving the wide oak top looking almost weightless.
The PI Dining Table from Ethnicraft is built in Serbia from solid oak with a hardwax oil finish, each tabletop finished by hand so the grain's character survives. Five lengths from 55 to 86.5 inches cover intimate dinners through full gatherings, and a teak edition extends the family.

How many people does each size seat?
The 55-inch table seats four comfortably, 63 to 71 inches seats six, and the 78.5- and 86.5-inch lengths handle eight — the architectural base leaves generous legroom.
Does the base get in the way of chairs?
No — the π-shaped undercarriage sets its supports inboard of the ends, so chairs slide in along both long sides without hitting legs at the corners.
How do I care for the oiled oak top?
Wipe spills promptly along the grain, avoid harsh cleaners, and refresh with hardwax oil periodically — minor marks can often be buffed out rather than living there forever.
