Maria Berntsen drew Soft Spot Solar for Rosendahl, and this version is built from GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified recycled polycarbonate, ABS, and TPE, designed for separation and recycling at end of life. A built-in solar panel feeds the battery through the day and a USB-C cable covers the weeks the weather does not. Rosendahl Design Group is a Certified B Corp.

Common Questions

Does it need to be plugged in?
No. The built-in solar panel charges the battery in daylight and a twilight sensor turns the lamp on at dusk. USB-C charging is there as a backup for overcast stretches.

Can it stay outside?
Yes. Rosendahl states the lamp withstands rain and wind down to -4°F, so it can live on a terrace year-round and come indoors whenever you want it at a bedside.

How long does one charge last?
15 to 18 hours of light from a full charge — comfortably a full evening, and several if you switch it off manually rather than leaving it to the sensor.
