A Roman wine amphora turned upside down, so the weight sits low and the glow goes up.

Amphorae taper toward the top and open again at a pouring lip; the Stance inverts that, which is what gives it a grounded base and a uniform upward wash. Terra Labs prints it to order in California from plant-derived PLA. A modified version served as the centerpieces for the 66th GRAMMY Awards.

Common Questions

Is this really the GRAMMYs lamp?
A modified version of it. Terra Labs adapted the Stance to serve as the centerpieces at the 66th GRAMMY Awards; the retail lamp is the same design in its standard form.

Why does the light go upward?
Because the amphora shape is inverted — narrow at the base, opening at the top. That geometry funnels the output up and out rather than spilling it sideways.

Which bulbs are permitted?
LED only, 40 to 60 watt equivalent at 2200–2700 K. An incandescent bulb generates enough heat to melt the printed PLA shade.
